Question 55558
The answer he gave is: (2,4,8) and the equations are >>>>>sorry it wouldn't show up if i highlighted it>>>>>> 2|x-1|-|y+3|=-1 and 5|x-1|-2|y+3|=1 < he told us to 'substitute' to make it easier, for example make a= |x-1| and b=|y+3| that way it would be and but when i do that, and i create the matrices, the inverse always ends up with [[3][7]] ex: a=3 b=7 . but thats where i lose it? i don't understand how he got (2,4,8) when x=4, -2 and y= 4, -10. so if you could help me, or show me what i did wrong and what steps to take please help
--------------
I agree with your work. The x,y pairs that work are (4,4) and (2,-10)
