How to divide 40 3/8 divided by 4 1/4 ...I do not understand the formula the answer is 9 1/2 but I'm not figuring out how

{{{323/2}}} * {{{1/17}}} = {{{323/34}}}
Divide 323 by 34 using long division: 9, remainder 17, so we have
9{{{17/34}}} reduce the fraction to 9{{{1/2}}}
