Question 587673
How do you find the ratio if the word problem includes a fraction?

For ex. Judy has 3/4 red apples. The rest are green. In total there are 90 How many green apples are there
-------------------
If 3/4 are red, then 1/4 are green.
The ratio is 3:1.
-------------
Your example is not a good one, tho.
3+1 = 4
90/4 = 22.5
3*22.5 = 67.5 red apples
1*22.5 = 22.5 green apples
------------
She could have 1/2 an apple of each color, I suppose.
