THe number of pups in the litters are consecutive integers (in the order: cocker spaniel, bulldog, greyhound) The first integer increased by twice the second exceeds the third by 10. How many puppies does each dog have? Use the 5 step method please, show work.

x-1 + 2(x) = (x-1)+10
3x-1 = x+9
2x = 10
x = 5
