Question 583417
We are finding the equations for parabola's and graphing them.
Here is one of my equations:

y+2=-1/12(x-3)^2

Now I have to make up a number for y to find x.(or x to find y, I don't think it matters)
  Is there an easy way to do this? We just keep getting crazy answers and starting over.
---------------
y+2=-1/12(x-3)^2
Solve for y
y = -1/12(x-3)^2 - 2
Pick values for x and find y.
Plot the points, draw a curve thru them.

You can use Excel to make a table.
----
You can dl the FREE graph software at

With it, you can make a table, and make the graph.
