Not possible to have a triangle configured as you have stated.  If the three sides are actually 10, 10, and 5, then the altitude to the short side must be *[tex \Large \sqrt{93.75}].  Or, if the two equal sides are 10 and the altitude is actually 8, then the base must be 12.


In any case, the area is the base times the height divided by 2.
