Question 578554
The results numbers in the 8 times table are 0, 8, 16, ...
We can write integers as fractions, using that knowledge:
{{{0 = 0*(8/8)=0/8}}}
{{{1 = 1*(8/8)=8/8}}}
{{{2 = 2*(8/8)=16/8}}}
{{{5/8}}} is between {{{0/8}}} and {{{8/8}}} because 5 is between 0 and 8
{{{0/8<5/8<8/8}}} because {{{0<5<8}}}
So 5/8 is between 0 and 1 in the number line.
It is really just a little past 1/2, which would be halfway between 0 and 1 because
{{{1/2=(1/2)*(4/4)=4/8}}}
