Question 54216
I assume that you probably need to graph this as well as solve it:
{{{(1/3)x<-2}}}
{{{3*(1/3)x<3(-2)}}}
{{{(3/3)x<-6}}} 3/3=1
{{{highlight(x<-6)}}}
This means that x are all numbers less that, but not equal to -6. Because of this, some books graph with an open circle over the -6 and others use a ) over the -6 (I'm using a parenthesis because that's all I've got) in both cases, you would shade all the numbers less than -6, (to the left of -6).
<<=====)------------------->
-8,-7,-6,-5,-4,-3,-2,-1,0,1
Happy Calculating!!!
