Question 563359
Let f(x)= 2x^2 -x +1 and g(x)= SQUARE ROOT OF(5-x).... Find and simplify each of the following:
1) g(-19) = sqrt(5+19) = sqrt(24)
-------------------------------------
2) g^-1(x)
Given y = sqrt(5-x)
Interchange x and y:
x = sqrt(5-y)
5-y = x^2
y = 5-x^2
g^-1(x) = 5-x^2
-------------------------------------
3) (f o g)(4) = f[g(4)] = f[sqrt(1)] = 1 = 2-1+1 = 2
-------------------------------------
4) g^-1(1)
g^-1(1) = 5-1^2 = 4
