Question 562582
<font face="Times New Roman" size="+2">

Let's deal with #2 first: In the first place it is not an equation. It doesn't have an equals sign in it any where. In the second place, the instructions for posting are quite clear about one problem per post.

Now for #1:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 3(6x\ +\ 5)\ =\ 9(2x\ +\ 3)\ -\ 1]

Use the distributive property to remove the parentheses:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 18x\ +\ 15\ =\ 18x\ +\ 27\ - 1]

Add *[tex \LARGE -18x] to both sides and collect like terms:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 15\ =\ 26]

Which is absurd. Therefore the solution set is the empty set.

*[tex \LARGE e^{i\pi} + 1 = 0]
My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
