Question 558608
3√10/6-8√3
it says the answer is -3√10-4√30/26 But I got nothing like this, here is what I tried:
I multiplied the top and bottom by the conjugate of the denominator 6-8√3, which I thought was 6+8√3.
So I did this:
3√10/ *6+8√3 = 18√10+8√3*3√10/6 = (18sqrt(10) + 24sqrt(30))/6
= (3sqrt(10)+4sqrt(30)
--------------
6-8√3 *6+8√3 = 36-64*3 = 36 - 192 = -156
-----------------------------
Your symbols cause too much confusion.
{{{3sqrt(10)/(6-8sqrt(3))}}}
= {{{3sqrt(10)*(6+8sqrt(3))/(-156)}}}
= {{{(18sqrt(10) + 24sqrt(30))/(-156)}}}
= {{{-(3sqrt(10) + 4sqrt(30))/26}}}
