Question 53877
Solve absolute value inequality and graph solution set.
1>1/2{6-x}-3/4
Add 3/4 to both sides to get:
(1/2)|6-x|< 7/4
Divide both sides by 1/2 to get:
|6-x|<7/2
-7/2< 6-x <7/2
Subtract 6 along the line to get:
-19/2 < -x < -5/2
Multiply thru by -1 to get:
5/2 < x < 19/2
Graph this on a number line with open circles at the end points.
