Question 553693
I set the equation equal to zero
(x+3)^3v+ (x+5)^3 - 8 = 0

and then graphed the function
y=(x+3)^3 + (x+5)^3 - 8

Where this graph crosses the x-axis will be solution(s) to the equation. It happens at x=-3. I don't know of an easy way to solve it algebraically. I suppose you could expand the cubes of the binomials, combine like terms, and solve as a polynomial equation. I can't think of an EASY way to do this. The graphing calculator is the BEST way, and the solution is x=-3. It's better than nothing I guess.
