Question 553526
Is there an inequality sign in this problem?? If so, please send me an Email and I'll solve it for you. If this is an equal sign, then this is the solution.

-8a/7 - 2 = 4

Add +2 to each side:

-8a/7=6

Clear the fraction by multiplying both sides by 7:

-8a=42

Divide both sides by -8:
a=42/-8

Reduce the fraction by dividing out the factor of 2:
a= 21/-4 or -21/4
