Question 53769
When you add or subtract fractions you need to give them a common denominator, combine the like terms in the numerator and simplify if you can.
2*3*x=6x is your lowest common denominator. Whatever you multiply the denominator by to get 6x, you also have to multiply that by the numerator.
{{{6/(3x)-2+3/(2x)}}}
{{{(2*6)/(2*3x)-(6x*2)/(6x*1)+(3*3x)/(3*2x)}}}
{{{12/6x-12x/6x+9/6x}}}
{{{(12-12x+9)/6x}}}
{{{(21-12x)/6x}}}
{{{3(7-4x)/(3*2x)}}}
{{{cross(3)(7-4x)/(cross(3)*(2x))}}}
{{{(7-4x)/2x}}}
Happy Calculating!!!!
