Question 548257
Let x be the age you are now (in any word question problem, it is a good idea to let the variable represent what you are looking for or what is unknown):

From the question we know that in twelve years I will be
{{{12+x}}} years old

Also from the question three times the age I was 10 years ago can be written as
{{{3(x-10)}}}

{{{12+x=3(x-10)}}}
{{{12+x=3x-30}}}
Now it is just a matter of solving for x. I will let you try this yourself, but if you are still not able to get the correct answer... please let me know :)
