Question 544866
Dana needs 300 lights for Christmas with equal amoun on four colors. she already has 32 red, 26 yellow, 9 green and no blues. of each bulb cost 25 cents each and you get 20% off of you buy 50 or more of the same color and 30% if you buy 60 or more. how much does Dana need to spend?

------------------------
If she needs equal amounts, she needs 75 of each colour.
Red: 75-32 = 43 : costs 43*25=$10.75
Green: 75-26=49 : costs 49*25=$12.25
Yellow: 75-9=66 : would originally cost 66*25=$16.50. She only pays 70% of this because 30% gets knocked off. 70% of $16.50 = $11.55
Blue: 75-0=75 : would originally cost 75*25=$18.75. She only pays 70% of this. 70% of $18.75 = $13.13

Total she pays = 10.75 + 12.25 + 11.55 + 18.75 = $53.30
