Question 544847
Hello,

 4x – 3 = x – y.

The best way for graphing is,
convert the line into y=mx + b form.
then use this;

ALWAYS REMEMBER,
When y intercepts, put x= 0
When x intercepts, put y= 0

Now solving your equation,
 4x – 3 = x – y.
-y + x = -3 + 4x
-y     = 4x - x - 3
-y     = 3x - 3
 y     = -3x + 3

now this tells us that the slope is -3 and the y intercept is 3.

Well, moving on.

Finding x intercept,
put y = 0
 y     = -3x + 3
 0     = -3x + 3
    -3 = -3x
     3 = 3x
    3/3= x
      x = 1

So u got x intercept = x=1

now the line with cut the x axis at 1.
and y axis at 3.
