Question 539126
log(x+14)=3

Using the main property of logarithms
Log base A of B = x, can be expressed as A^x = B

log(x+14)=3

The base of the logarithm is 10

Then, 10^3 = x+14

1000 = x+14
1000-14 = x
x= 986
