Question 538509
Simplify by removing factors of 1; y^2-4y+4/y^2+4y-12

The answer I came up with is y+2/y-6, is this correct and if not what did I do wrong. Thanks!

{{{(y^2 - 4y + 4)/(y^2 + 4y - 12)}}}

{{{((y - 2)(y - 2))/((y + 6)(y - 2))}}} ------ Factoring numerator and denominator

{{{((y - 2)cross((y - 2)))/((y + 6)cross((y - 2)))}}}

{{{highlight_green((y - 2)/(y + 6))}}}

You either factored incorrectly, or canceled the wrong binomials, or both.
