Question 536613
The slope-intercept form of an equation is y=mx+b. The slope is m, and the y-intercept is b.<P>
In this case the slope is given as m=1/3, and the y-intercept (y value when x=0) is given as -6. That's from the given (x,y), the coordinates of a point, (0,-6).
y=(1/3)x - 6.<P>
Check some x-values to find corresponding y-values. Since this is a line, two points are enough, then draw the line that touches both. When x=0, y=-6. When x=3, y=-5.<P>
The graph looks like this:<P>

{{{graph( 400, 400, -10, 10, -10, 10, y=(1/3)x -6 )}}}
