The range is all real numbers because any number plugged in for x yields a real number value for y.  Domain = (-inf, inf).<P>
Graphing the function will show you the range.<P>

From the graph, notice that the highest y-value is 10, then the graph goes down forever to -inf for y.  So the range is (-inf, 10].<P>
