There are special polynomial factors you should know.  This is one of them.  Google "special polynomial factors".<P>
{{{a^2-b^2=(a+b)(a-b)}}}<P>
The numerator is {{{m^2-2^2=(m+2)(m-2)}}}<P>
So this problem is {{{(m+2)(m-2)/(m+2)=m-2)}}} since the (m+2) factors cancel.
