Question 535482
2x-7+3y=9+2y+8

Since there is only one equation the absolute values cannot be calculated

Make x the subject
Keep x on the lefthand side and shift all terms to the right hand side of the equation
When you shift any term to the other sideof the equation the sign becomes opposite
2x=7-3y+9+2y+8
group the like terms
2x=7+9+8-3y+2y
2x=24-y
divide by 2
x= 12 - y/2

For y
make y the subject
Follow the same steps as in x
2x-7+3y=9+2y+8
3y-2y= -2x+7+9+8 ( 2y has shifted to the left side and its sign has changed)
y=-2x+24

x=___ y=____?
