x-(9/4) = +-7/4

x = 4 or x = 1/2

x^2 + (1/4)x = 0
x^2 + (1/4)x + (1/8)^2 = (1/8)^2
(x+(1/8))^2 = (1/8)^2
(x + (1/8)) = +-(1/8)
x = (1/8)-(1/8) or x = -(1/8)-(1/8)
x  = 0 or x = -1/4
