Question 50561
Actually, this is quite easy once you think about it.
sqrt(x^2)
A number times itself must be .... positive!
The square root of a positive number gives us the original number, but it will be positive!
x = -2
sqrt((-2)^2) = sqrt(4) = 2
Does 2 = -2 ? No!
So we dub: sqrt(x^2) = | x | not {{{x}}}
