Question 529508
lorens marble jar contains red and blue marbles. if there are 32 more red than blue marbles and 180 total marbles in the jar, how many of each color does loren have?

Let the amount of blue marbles be B

Then there are B + 32 red marbles

We can now say that B + B + 32 = 180

2B + 32 = 180

2B = 180 - 32

2B = 148

B, or amount of blue marbles = {{{148/2}}} or {{{highlight_green(74)}}}

Amount of red marbles = 180 - 74, or {{{highlight_green(106)}}}
