Question 528285
<pre>
sin({{{theta}}}) = 0.23

There are two quadrants in which the sine is positive,
I and II. The other tutor said quadrant 4, which is wrong.

You can use a calculator to find the solution in the
first quadrant between 0° and 90° which is

13.29707175°. That's the reference angle and also
the solution in the first quadrant.

To find the angle in the second quadrant which is
between 90° and 180° you subtract
the reference angle from 180°, or

180° - 13.29707175° = 166.7029283°

Rounding those off to the nearest degree the answers
are:

13° and 167°.
