Question 528158
Thirteen (13) is a counting number, the kind you "naturally" think about, even in kindergarden or first grade, so it is a natural number.
All natural numbers are whole numbers, and everyone agrees that zero is also a whole number. (Many think zero is not a natural number, but not everyone agrees on that, so agree with your teacher and/or textbook as needed).
All whole/natural numbers are integers. (There are some integers that do not come to you as naturally, like the negative integers, which do not count as natural or whole)
All integers are rational, because you can write them as ratios (fractions). The simplest way to write 13 as a fraction is
{{{13/1}}} but you can also write it as {{{26/2}}} and infinity of equivalent fractions.
All rational numbers are real numbers, but that goes beyond your question.
