Question 522421
<font face="Times New Roman" size="+2">

You are so close to the correct method that if it had teeth it would have bit you.

Instead of *[tex \Large r\ =\ \frac{d}{t}], you want to use *[tex \Large t\ =\ \frac{d}{r}]

So for the car:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ t\ =\ \frac{161}{r}]

and for the motorcycle:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ t\ =\ \frac{196}{r\ +\ 10}]

But *[tex \Large t\ =\ t], doesn't it? Sooooo...

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \frac{196}{r\ +\ 10}\ =\ \frac{161}{r}]

Now all you have to do is cross-multiply and solve for *[tex \Large r]

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 196r\ =\ 161(r\ +\ 10)]

You should be able to take it from here.

*[tex \LARGE e^{i\pi} + 1 = 0]
My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
