Question 51704
<pre><font size = 4>The number of song requests a radio station receives
per day is indicated in the table below. construct a graph
for this data.

x  8   9   10   11   12
0.21 0.31 0.16 0.14 0.18

You have to give more information so I can help you better. I can't tell
whether you are taking algebra of statistics. Maybe your teacher wants
you to just connect the points with straight lines, like this

   {{{ graph( 600, 300, -1, 15, -2, 32, ((31-21)*(x-8)+21)*sqrt(9-x)/sqrt(9-x)*sqrt(x-8)/sqrt(x-8), ((16-31)*(x-9)+31)*sqrt(10-x)/sqrt(10-x)*sqrt(x-9)/sqrt(x-9), ((14-16)*(x-10)+16)*sqrt(11-x)/sqrt(11-x)*sqrt(x-10)/sqrt(x-10), ((18-14)*(x-11)+14)*sqrt(12-x)/sqrt(12-x)*sqrt(x-11)/sqrt(x-11) ) }}}

In this graph, consider the y-axis to represent hundredths, not the whole
numbers written on the y-axis (example, 16 on the y-axis means 0.16)

Perhaps you need the best-fitting cubic graph for this. If so it is

y = .026583x³-.77439x²+7.62588x-24.455

   {{{ graph( 600, 300, -1, 15, -2, 32, ((31-21)*(x-8)+21)*sqrt(9-x)/sqrt(9-x)*sqrt(x-8)/sqrt(x-8), ((16-31)*(x-9)+31)*sqrt(10-x)/sqrt(10-x)*sqrt(x-9)/sqrt(x-9), ((14-16)*(x-10)+16)*sqrt(11-x)/sqrt(11-x)*sqrt(x-10)/sqrt(x-10), ((18-14)*(x-11)+14)*sqrt(12-x)/sqrt(12-x)*sqrt(x-11)/sqrt(x-11), 02.5833x^3-77.429x^2+762.488x-2445.5  ) }}}

If you are studying regression, or just linear regression, post again and
I can help you further.
