Question 514493
<font face="Times New Roman" size="+2">

Let *[tex \Large x] be the number of donuts. Let *[tex \Large y] be the number of cups of coffee. Then:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ x\ +\ y\ =\ 120]

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 50x\ +\ 70y\ =\ 6800]

I converted dollars/cents to just cents because I don't like decimal coefficients.

Now all you have to do is solve the 2X2 system for *[tex \Large (x,y)]. Hint: Solve the first equation for either variable in terms of the other and then use the substitution method.

John
*[tex \LARGE e^{i\pi} + 1 = 0]
My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
