Tony made *[tex \Large x] zlotys (he's working in Poland) for *[tex \Large y] hours of work.  At the same rate, how much would he make for *[tex \Large z] hours of work?


If he made *[tex \Large x] monetary units for *[tex \Large y] time units of work, then he makes *[tex \Large \frac{x}{y}] monetary units per time unit.  Hence he would make a total of *[tex \Large \frac{xz}{y}] monetary units if he worked *[tex \Large z] time units.
