Assuming you meant that the length is 2 feet less than three times the width, the dimensions of any rectangular fernblatz with the given proportions and given that the perimeter is 28 feet are found by using the formula for the perimeter:

Here's what we know:

and

So put what we know into the formula:

Solve for *[tex \Large w] and then calculate *[tex \Large 3w\ -\ 2]
