Question 508023
Could you please show me the steps to get Least Common Multiple for 28,40,56

The first thing to do is find the prime factors of each number, as follows:

28 = 2 * 2 * 7

40 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 5

56 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 7

Now we need to select the greatest number of EACH prime factor, and multiply them

As seen, there are 3 different prime factors (2, 5, & 7)

The greatest amount of 2s is 3 (2 * 2 * 2)

The greatest amount of 5s is 1 (5)

The greatest amount of 7s is 1 (7)

Therefore, our LCM will be {{{2^3 * 5 * 7}}}, or 2 * 2 * 2 * 5 * 7, or {{{highlight_green(280)}}}
