Question 499637
A linear equation of the form: {{{y = mx+b}}} is called the "slope-intercept" form in the U.S.
The "slope", m, would be equivalent to the "gradient".
{{{y = highlight(5)x+2}}} Compare this with the "slope-intercept" form:
{{{y = highlight(m)x+b}}} and you can see that the slope (or gradient), m = 5.
Does this make sense?
