Question 50309
If we don't have your book (most tutors probably do not!!), then you need to state the problem for us, or give a sample of the problem you are having. We might even have a page full of problems like your problem that we can refer you to. For example, choose a topic in algebra.com, and there may be problems like yours already solved.

Or, you can try my own website by clicking on my tutor name "rapaljer" anywhere in algebra.com, then look for "Math in Living Color", and choose a topic from whatever level of math you are doing.
