The way I worked this is as follows.
Considering the triangle as a whole, there are 8 parts, 2 from the vertex, 3 from each side of the triangle base.
To find the vertex angle, I multiplied 180 times 2/8 and obtained 45 degrees.
To find the base angles, I multiplied 180 times 3/8 and obtained 67.5 degrees.
45 degrees is 2/3 of 67.5 degrees.
45 + 67.5 + 67.5 =  180 degrees.
This does check.
