Question 484515
<font face="Times New Roman" size="+2">

In one sense, I would say that there is no answer to your question. That is because I never subtract and I never divide. Instead of subtracting, I add the opposite. Instead of dividing, I multiply by the reciprocal.

On the other hand, if you and your instructor are not as much of a purist as I am, then perhaps the following fits the bill:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \frac{a\ -\ b}{c}]

The only thing is that this example is misleading because the vinculum is itself a grouping symbol much like parentheses, brackets, or braces.

John
*[tex \LARGE e^{i\pi} + 1 = 0]
My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
