Question 481958
<font face="Times New Roman" size="+2">

It depends on whether the guy going 85 gets pulled over for speeding or not; and if he does, how long does the cop take writing the citation?

Presuming the speeder gets away with it, the fast car is going 23 mph faster than the slow car. The problem reduces to how long would it take someone going 23 miles per hour to travel 100 miles, specifically 100 divided by 23.
