Question 481764
Will Someone Help Me With This Problem?
In a survey of four-year colleges and universities, it was found that:
356 offered a liberal arts degree.
293 offered a computer engineering degree
285 offered a nursing degree.
193 offered a liberal arts degree and a computer engineering degree.
200 offered a liberal arts degree and a nursing degree.
139 offered a computer engineering degree and a nursing degree.
68 offered a liberal arts degree, a computer engineering degree, and a nursing degree.
26 offered none of these degrees.
-----------------
Draw a Venn diagram: a rectangle containing 3 intersecting circles.
The rectangle contains 256
Inside the rectangle but not in any circle you have 26
The intersection of all three circles has 68
139-68 = 71 are in the intersection of comp/eng and nursing but not
in the intersection of the three circles.
Do the same for each of the intersecting pieces of comp/eng and lib,
and nursing and lib.
