Question 475632
I know that I have a rectangle room where one wall is 50 ft. long and the area is 1380 sq. ft.
 How do I find the length of the other wall?
:
You can figure this out, you know that: Area = Length * Width, we can write this:
L * W = A
we know L = 50 ft and A = 1380, so we can write an equation
50 * W = 1380, find W, the length of the other wall
:
Divide both sides by 50
{{{50/50}}} * L = {{{1380/50}}}
1L = 27.6 ft
:
The width or the length or the length of the other wall is 27.6 ft
:
:
You can prove this to yourself, find the area using 50 by 27.6
50 * 27.6 = 1380 sq/ft

Did this make sense to you now?
