Hi,
A taxi driver charges a fare of $2.00 for the first quarter mile or less and $.75 for each additional quarter mile. 
Letting m = the number of miles  and Computing the fare(f)
 Aditional charge will be .75 for 1/4mi OR .75*4 for one mile or .75*4m for m mi
 f = 2.00 + .75*(4m-1)    |First 1/4 mile taken are of by the 2.00 
for ex:  3 mi
 f = 2.00 + .75*11  (.75*11 would represent '11' of the  1/4th miles charges)
