y = 2 is a horizontal line through 2 on the y-axis


Whenever you have an equation that starts off "y =", and
then it is just a number on the other side.  The graph would
be a horizontal line through that number.


Likewise, if the equation starts off "x = ", and 
then it is just a number on the other side.  The graph would
be a vertical line through that number. 
For example x = 4, would be a vertical line through 4 on the x-axis.
