Question 467079
first draw a triangle and then label the base and height.. the base is just b and according to be the problem, the height should be 4b-6...
the formula for area of a triangle is {{{ A=(b*h)/2 }}} so we just substitute and we get {{{ A= (b * (4b-6))/2 }}} then we obtain {{{ A=(4b^2-6)/2 }}} and becomes {{{ A=2b^2-3 }}}
