Question 466365
Suppose that the length of a rectangle is three cm longer than twice the width and that the perimeter of the rectangle is 90 cm.I have to set up an equation for the perimeter involving only W.
--------------------
Let the width be "w".
Then the length  is "2w+3"
----
Perimeter = 2(length + width)
---
P = 2(2w+3 + w)
---
P = 2(3w+3)
Perimeter = (6w + 6) cm
