Question 465017

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ x\ =\ 1\,\cdot\,x]

Read: "*[tex \Large x] is equal to 1 times *[tex \Large x]" is more correctly written

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ x\ \equiv\ 1\,\cdot\,x]

which is read: "*[tex \Large x] is identical to 1 times *[tex \Large x]" This more appropriate language should give you a huge clue as to the correct answer to your question. If you still don't get it, notice the similarity between the words "identical" and "identity".
