Use the converse of the Pythagorean Theorem:  If the sides of triangle satisfy {{{a^2 + b^2 = c^2}}}, where c is the longest side, then the sides are that of a right triangle.  

Incidentally, {{{6^2 + 8^2 = 36 + 64 = 100 = 10^2}}}, the triangle is a right triangle.
