Question 458422
How many blocks with sides 4 inches in length can fit into a crate 3"x2"x2"?
I first did was find the bas area which is with times height and then find the volume which is base area times lengh, and i got 12. Then i divided 12/4 and got 3.
Can someone verify if I did this correctly? Is 3 the answer?
---------------------------------
Your crate has a volume of 12 cu in. but it's dimensions
are only 3" by 2" by 2".
------
You couldn't possibly get a block with sides = 4" into that crate.
---
The answer should be zero.
=============================
Your numbers are right but you lost track of the dimensions.
If the block with side = 4" is a cube, its volume is 4*4*4 = 64 cu in.
