Question 47551
find the sum of all the complex zeroes of f(x)=x^3-x^2-x+33
Graphing shows x=-3 is a zero.
Using synthetic division find the factors:
(x+3)(x^2-4x+11)
The quadratic factor has zeroes as follows:
x=[4+-sqrt(16-4(11))]/2
Adding these complex zeroes you get 4/2 + 4/2 = 1
